About FIT
FIT Health Clubs is redefining the fitness experience, blending world-class facilities, premium service, and a culture that genuinely puts people first. We exist to create amazing fitness experiences, in a world-class facility with world-class service.
As FIT Health Clubs begins an exciting expansion, we’re seeking a People & Culture Manager who will be at the heart of that journey - building, leading, and nurturing the people and culture that make FIT exceptional.
About the Role
The People & Culture Manager will oversee all aspects of the employee lifecycle - from recruitment and onboarding to engagement, wellbeing, and compliance.
You’ll act as the central point of contact for all employee matters, supporting our managers and teams to deliver an outstanding employee experience. This is a hands-on, people-focused leadership role, combining strategy, compliance, and culture in equal measure - and the opportunity to build the P&C function in a growing, premium health brand.
The position will begin at 25–30 hours per week, with a clear pathway to transition into full-time as we grow through 2025.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and refine recruitment, onboarding, and performance processes that reflect FIT’s T.E.A.M. values.
* Partner with managers to resolve people matters constructively, with empathy and fairness.
* Oversee compliance with Fair Work, Awards, WHS, and payroll legislation.
* Promote a culture of trust, inclusion, and excellence across all teams.
* Deliver engagement and recognition initiatives that celebrate and retain great people.
* Provide HR insights, reporting, and guidance that support organisational strategy and growth.
* Continuously improve policies and processes to enhance efficiency, compliance, and cultural alignment.
About You
You’re a people-focused professional who thrives in environments that value collaboration, excellence, and culture. You combine empathy with sound judgement, and you’re energised by helping others succeed.
You’ll bring:
* 5+ years’ experience in HR, People & Culture, or compliance leadership.
* A strong understanding of the Fair Work Act and employment legislation.
* Proven ability to build relationships, influence outcomes, and manage sensitive matters with discretion.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Experience in, or passion for, the fitness, wellbeing, or hospitality industries (desirable).
